No one likes to spend too much money on something that they could get for a lot less. In the beauty business every company has their version of the same things that you can get at a variety of price points. Now, I will be the first to admit that in most cases you do get what you pay for but there are tons of beauty products out there that are not expensive and do offer up the same benefits. It’s like your television provider. Sure you can go the cheap route for basic cable, but you know if you get direct tv you will probably have a better television experience. The same thing can be said about other purchases in your life. If you are in the market for some new beauty products, here are the ones to go for.

Sun Protection – Putting an SPF one your face is something you should be doing each and every single day. Wrinkles are not cute, and sun damage is one of the leading causes of wrinkles. Make sure that you are keeping your skin safe always! I have tried all sorts of sun protection, but the best by far are physical sun blocks. That means that they are made from zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, or both. They are creamier, make a better base for makeup, and they do not cause allergic reactions. Skin Ceuticals Physical UV Defense SPF 30 is remarkable. It blocks both UVA and UVB rays–which we need–and it is $37 for about 3.4 ounces. Clinique has the City Block Sheer SPF 25 which is also a makeup primer for $19 for 1.4 ounces. Both are phenomenal and will last a fairly long.

Oily-Skin Moisturizer – It does not matter what your skin type is, moisturizers are necessary. So many people think just because their skin is oily they should skip the moisturizer, but doing that might be causing an overload of oil production. To avoid too much shine, moisturize twice a day. I love Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing gel for $24.50. It is oil free so it is not greasy feeling and it make skin super soft. Another good one is Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture. It is only $9.99 and it has a SPF of 15, bonus!

You can’t always skimp on skincare and beauty products, but you don’t have to shell out big bucks for everything. Look for ingredients that are similar or the same and make sure you are getting large enough sizes. Sometimes paying less at the drug store seems better, but you will likely run out faster than the department store buys.

Stressful Jobs Cause Stress

Most people have to work for a living. There are those people out there who are fortunate to have received a whole lot of money that they can live their life off of, but those are few and far between. Monday through Friday I wake up in the morning much earlier than I would like to and I get ready to head into work. I do not mind having to work at all, but I am sure that there are some people out there who do not prefer the jobs that they have. There can be a lot of reasons for this lack of job satisfaction, like:

Work bullying – believe it or not but there are adults who bully.
Work schedule – If I did not have a nine-five job, I would not be happy.
Stress – need I say more?

Stressful jobs can turn many people away. The majority of stressful jobs are those that require you to have involvement in people’s everyday lives. I’m talking about pilots, surgeons, engineers. Those type of people are responsible for many people each and every day. Understandably, that could make anyone very stressed.

Mac or PC?

While Apple computers typically cost more than Windows based systems, but overall consumer satisfaction is higher. Macs can also run Windows by using a virtual machine, and some Macs can dual boot to either Mac OS X or Windows. Mac OS X does not generally experience trouble with viruses and other malware, since most of that is written to compromise Windows systems. Apple sells an exclusive few consumer lines: MacBook Pro laptops, the iMac all-in-one desktops, the Mac mini — a small, budget desktop, and the iPad touch-screen tablet. Apple recently discontinued a less expensive and more ruggedly encased MacBook line of laptops, deciding to focus all their energy on the more popular Macbook Air and Macbook Pro laptops. The Mac Pro desktop is it’s professional line, and includes servers.

PCs are more widely used than Macs and they run Windows, Unix, or Linux distributions. Because they are manufactured by several companies, the quality of the workmanship, design, and functionality can and does vary. This is why consumers often have trouble with their Windows machines. There is also the concern for viruses and malware as you can see daily via news channels on directtv.

How to Select Your Snow Blower

It’s fall for sure, the leaves are starting to pile up and the night time temperatures are falling into the freezing digits in parts of the country. Already the threat of snow looms on the horizon, and if you live in an area that is notorious for unreal accumulations of the white stuff during the winter, it could be time to start thinking about investing in a new snow blower. How do you decide which one is the best for your needs?

Snow blowers can be found for sale at big box stores such as Lowe’s and Home Depot, at Sears, and other outdoor power equipment dealers. Below are some of the most popular snow blower brands.

Ariens

Ariens snow blowers are available at Home Depot, and probably other places too. They have single- and two-stage gas models with available electric starters, and scan clear snow spreads of 22 to 26 inches.

Craftsman

Troy Bilt is a popular brand sold in Lowes. Troy Bilt gas-powered snow blowers feature single- and two-stage four-cycle engines, your choice of electric and recoil starters, and snow clearing widths of 21 to 45 inches, depending on the model you choose.

Yard Machines

Yard Machines snow blowers are manufactured by MTD and sold in the mass channel. It markets a low-cost electric model with a snow clearing width of 15 inches. Yard Machines are widely available at Home Depot, Lowes, Wal-Mart, and large and small, local hardware stores.

Lotus Elise 2011

The British magazine Autocar was given the chance to be the first to test out the 2011 Lotus Elise. The already close to perfect vehicle was not in need of many changes, but Lotus did decide to make the Elise appear cosmetically, at least, more like the Lotus Evora by narrowing the front end somewhat to give it a sleeker, more aerodynamic look. This was done by modifying the nose, hood, and headlights slightly. Most everything else remains the same, on the outside.

The 2011 Elise is powered by a 1.6 Liter four cylinder engine that delivers a total of 134 HP and 118 lb-ft of torque mated to a six speed gearbox. This will take you from 0 to 60 MPH in 6.7 seconds. Its top speed: 124 mph.

Which Tablet is Best for You?

There are a lot of tablet PCs to choose from now, and the competition just got better when Amazon announced its upcoming Kindle Fire, due to be released on November 15 but available for pre-order now through Amazon.com on a first come, first served basis. The flagship modern tablet was, of course, Apple’s iPad. In the estimation of many people, the iPad is the only tablet. Back in the day, before the iPod, people just called MP3 playing devices MP3 players, but it wasn’t long after the arrival of iPod before people simply started calling all MP3 players iPods. The same, or similar, has happened now with iPad.

Some tablets run various versions of the Android operating system, to lesser and greater success. But the Android app market place is a bit under stuffed compared with Apple’s App Store. Not to mention, there is little cross-compatability between versions of Android, which makes an uncomfortable environment for developers. All things considered, you still do have some choices when it comes to adopting the right tablet fit for you. The following infographic hopes to make that just a little easier.
